Review: The hotel offers a spacious Junior Suite with a comfortable main bed and a good-sized pool, perfect for families. the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable. The staff were friendly, although the cleaning service was delayed; breakfast had a decent variety but dinner options could be improved. ,rating: 7, date of stay: 2024-04-15}

Straightforward pet-friendly hotel with welcoming staff. Lovely area, central location near centre, and taxis. Plus, 10 minutes drive from St Thomas' Church. Nice experience there.

It was freezing cold, with drafts coming through rotten window frames. The dirtiness was shocking, and the damp, torn curtains made it feel even worse. Definitely not worth it!

A brilliant and great hotel, my first choice in Haydock. Nice place for discovering Haydock with very pleasant staff in all areas. Good position in Haydock. Huge room, pet-friendly by beds. Variety of supplies in the room: an individual safe, flat-screen TV, and coffee/tea making machines.

The room was spacious, but the bathroom needed updating.

The location is super convenient, just off the motorway, making it easy to access nearby attractions like Liverpool and Manchester. The staff were friendly and cute, and the room was comfy and clean, which helped us relax and enjoy our time. Plus, the festive decorations really added to the celebratory vibe!
But wow, the food situation was disappointing. The restaurant was closed for dinner on New Year's Eve, and the bar menu was limited to just a few options, including pizza, which felt a bit lazy. And don’t even get me started on the noise from the roundabout outside—it was tough to get a good night's sleep with all that traffic. I left feeling mixed about the experience.

We really liked the ambience of maintaining the old building. The service and cleanliness were also very good.

Large, very beautiful, architecturally charming two-storey hotel complex in typical English brick style. Very friendly service.
The food was mediocre. The location of the hotel requires a car, otherwise you have to rely on taxis.

The hotel is very nice, at the first moment you feel like being in an English country house. The rooms are large and overall the hotel makes a good impression.
The person could be friendlier overall. We had an event in the hotel in the evening and wanted to have a drink at the bar afterwards, we couldn't write the drinks on the room, because he couldn't find any KK. Also the card for our rooms did not work anymore. Only after three times of asking did we get a key.

Great Stay at Mercure Haydock Hotel
The hotel's facilities were impressive; I particularly enjoyed the indoor heated swimming pool, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day of meetings. the fitness center provided a great opportunity to stay active, while the sauna helped melt away the stress. The overall ambiance was clean and welcoming, making my stay both comfortable and rejuvenating.
A bit noisy at night.
